Congratulations to Joanne & Evan – Saturday 5th June 2010

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Congratulations to Joanne and Evan who were married at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church on Saturday 5th June 2010.

Leading up to the day we had nothing but rain everyday for the past 2 weeks, but for some miraculous reason it was the first day that the sun was showing its face, despite the prediction of rain – Phew!!

As Fivo, Bevan and Ilija arrived at Evan’s house in the morning, they were happy to see Michael, the best man’s hot red Ferrari parked in the driveway already dressed with the white wedding ribbons. With the boys very relaxed and chilled out, they started getting ready pretty quickly whilst we shot some candid photos. This was followed by some photos of Evan in the Ferrari and then serious BMW rubber burning wheel spins down the street before heading to the church – typical boys huh :)

Next it was time to check in on beautiful Bride Joanne and see how everything was going at her place. When we arrived, Joanne was also fairly relaxed whilst we photographed her dress. The Bridesmaids were really organised and already beautifully dressed. The girls helped Joanne into her gorgeous dress and assisted with accessories. We then took the girls outside for some fun girly shots…

As we got to the church the weather was starting to turn a little windy and quite cloudy. We were all hoping that the rain would hold a little more. Anyway…. the ceremony was as beautiful as all Greek ceremonies are. The excitement and love oozing out of Joanne and Evan was just gorgeous.

We headed off into the Rocks for the location shoot which was fun. The rain tried to disrupt us every now and again, but nothing was going to stop us from getting some amazing photos.

It was time to head back to Doltone House at Sylvania for the reception. As usual the service and atmosphere is always good at the Doltone House. The speeches were funny, emotional and overall very touching and warm. It was an awesome night with heaps of dancing including the famous Greek Zeibekiko dance (a folk improvisational dance), where all the boys get on the floor and pick up a glass of whiskey with their mouths and drinking it all down. And these guys can drink cause this went on for some time and was a lot of fun.

A BIG thank you to Joanne and Evans family and friends who made us all feel welcome and part of the family!

Love,

Fivo, Jacinda & FIVO Photography Team!

Congratulations to Chantel and Elie – Married 27th March 2010

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Congratulations to Chantel and Elie who were married at St Joseph’s Maronite Church in Croydon.

The beautiful day began at the groom’s house where the boys were quite relaxed while getting ready. We then headed over to the bride’s house where the girls were finishing off their hair and makeup. Many friends and family started to arrive as the bride slipped into her gorgeous gown. As the bride made her grand entrance, the groom’s family began to sing and prepare to take her to the church.

After a lovely ceremony the guests gathered all around the happy couple for a large group shot and a few family formal shots. Next we headed into the city for our location shoot at the rocks. We took some amazing photos of the bridal party then spent extra time with the newlyweds!

Before long it was time to head back to the reception which was held at the Conca Dora Reception Lounge in Riverwood. As soon as we arrived it was a party atmosphere, with drums, a live band, Irish dancers, and plenty of guests dancing and fireworks throughout the night.

We would like to say a big thank you to Ross from Cinemedia, who we had the pleasure to work with. We look forward to many more weddings together. Thank you also to Danny from Royalty Wedding cars who were wonderful and took great care in looking after the bridal party. The cars were gorgeous and the photos turned out amazing.

Have a great honymoon in Thialand!!

Lot’s of love,

Jacinda + Fivo

Congratulations to Catie and Christian – Married 27th February 2010

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Congratulations to Catie and Christian who were married 27th February 2010 in the Botanical Gardens.

The happy couple were married in the gorgeous Botanical Gardens by Deborah Jenkins, who is one of the best celebrants we have ever worked with, overlooking the stunning views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

The day was absolutely spectacular and the Bride was the ultimate princess in her pretty pink gown. The theme was pink and black, and the groomsmen wore traditional suit and tails.

After the ceremony we took a few shots around the gardens before heading to the art gallery, where the magnificent architecture was the perfect backdrop for the sexy couple. Next stop was into Martin Place for some fun shots with the bridal party, before heading back to the reception which was held at the Sir Stamford Hotel in Circular Quay, a very cool place for some awesome shots.

Congratulations once again, we love you guys!

Congratulations to Nicole & Brendan who were married on Sat 26th Sep 2009 at Roslyn Gardens.

Nicole looked like a princess as she walked through the beautiful gardens to where Brendan eagerly waited.

After the ceremony we took the bridal party near the water fountain and around the secluded areas of the garden for some fantastic shots.

During the evening we took Nicole and Brendan for some outdoor shots in the garden, which  were amazing as the lighting was quite magical, giving the gardens a different feel to the day shots.

Thank you to the wonderful team at Roslyn Gardens who were brilliant to work with, we look forward to shooting many more weddings together.

The house was buzzing with energy as we arrived. The band was in full swing and celebrations were underway with lot’s of food, and dancing. Nick from Stunning Images was the videographer for the day.
The Bride and Groom prepared to get ready and the best man presented Jadranki with her shoes, offering various amounts of money. Next it was time for the happy couple to present their guests with gifts, before heading off to the church.

The ceremony  was held at Saint Dimitria Macedonian Orthodox Church. The ceremony was lovely with a small group of friends and family attending. Fivo took some beautiful shots with natural light coming in from the windows, while Jacinda took a combination of formal and candid shots.

After a big group shot out the front of the church we went to the Botanical Gardens for some formal shots of the bridal party, with a picturesque background. Next we headed to City Beach for a romantic stroll along the sand. Fivo used the Pocket wizard to create gorgeous images just as the sun was setting. The lighthouse was our next venture, with an awesome view of the ocean behind them. Our last stop was the wharf and boat ramp, Fivo caught some fantastic shots, as the last bit of sunlight vanished before the moon came out.

The reception was held at City Beach Function Centre. The venue was breathtaking, the service was excellent and Amy our co ordinator for the day was a pleasure to work with. After the bridal party was announced we went straight into the bridal waltz. Kiro and Jadranki looked so in love and then the partying began. The night was full of dancing, drinking and eating. Even Jacinda joined in the traditional Macedonian dancing ( she can’t help herself!)

We would like to thank all of the people who made the day so special for Kiro and Jadranki. Nick from Stunning Images did a fantastic job,it’s always fun working with you!

Congratulations to Emma and Rob – Sat 28 February 2009

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

The morning was slightly overcast as I arrived in the Hunter Valley. The whole bridal party and family members were preparing for the big day ahead as the sun began to appear. The bride and groom were very relaxed as they finalized the last few details. Once I began taking photos of the wedding accessories, gown, flowers etc the house was in lockdown mode, where the groom and family stayed on one side and the bride and family on the other. We pulled it off without a hitch and had time for some family portraits before heading off to the ceremony.

The gazebo area looked very quaint and romantic with rose petals leading down the centre of the aisle and through the archway. Emma looked absolutely beautiful as she walked down the garden path with her parents. Robert was smiling as he waited for his bride. The ceremony was just perfect with friends and family gathered close by as the celebrant pronounced them as husband and wife, Emma and Robert shared a kiss before signing the wedding certificate.

Friends and family congratulated the happy couple and took part in some formal shots as well as a big group shot with the picturesque views of The Hunter and the vineyards in the background. Then with our bottle of champagne in hand we took off to wander through the vineyards, exploring the amazing grounds of the Golden Grape Estate. We shot some awesome pictures near the lake and the surrounding areas throughout the evening. As we made our way back to the reception, the traditional plate smashing frenzy was all part of the excitement and start to their new life together… Let’s hope there won’t be any more plate smashing at their actual home :)

It was a lovely day overall and we wish them all the best!!

Best Wishes,
Jacinda

Congratulations to Amelia & Peter – Sun 30th Nov 2008

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Congratulations to Amelia and Peter who were married at ‘Our Lady Star Of The Sea’ at Watson’s Bay.

The day began with the warm sun, shining overhead. There was a buzz of activity as we arrived at Peter’s house. The celebrations had begun and as the guests arrived there was plenty of food, dancing, gifts and fun to be had by all. It was a traditional Macedonian household, as Peter, celebrated with family and friends and was very brave, while his Godfather Louie shaved his face with an axe. The best man then bathed Peter’s feet in water and congratulated him once more before being assisted by his groomsmen to get dressed. Next it was time for the gifts to be handed out to all the friends and family members who helped to make Peter’s wedding day memorable. Finally, Peter kicked a glass of water over at the front door of his house before heading off in the white stretch hummer to the church.

Amelia’s bride prep was quite calm and relaxed. With little Thomas (pageboy) banging on the securely closed bedroom door, the girls vigorously helped Amelia into her dress. It was then time for some beautiful candid shots of the girls putting on Amelia’s very dazzling jewellery and some everlasting images of mum and dad. Amelia looked as we imagined her to look…. Absolutely gorgeous!!

On arrival at the church, the groomsmen waited with anticipation for Amelia and the bridesmaids to appear. Amelia looked absolutely elegant and stunning as her father walked her down the aisle. The ceremony was as elegant as they come with a priceless moment when pageboy, Thomas dropped the rings on the wooden floorboards during the ceremony. Amelia and Peter were officially pronounced husband and wife and they happily walked down the aisle together, pausing at the church threshold for a romantic kiss. All of the guests gathered around for a big group shot outside the church, and then it was time to head off to the location shoot for more photo’s.

We headed off to the lighthouse for family shots, and candid bridal party shots. Amelia’s long veil caught the breeze and she nearly blew away. The lighthouse was a stunning backdrop to the crystal blue sky. Next we wandered down along the wharf at Watson’s Bay soaking up the golden sunshine. The local pub was also an important stop off and the bridal party relaxed with a few drinks casually sitting inside the bar.

It was time to head back to Doltone House at Sylvania for the reception. The bridal party were in a festive mood along with 400 guests. Once the formalities were out of the way the evening was non stop dancing.

The bride and groom farewelled their guests and drove away thinking of their relaxing honeymoon. Thank you to Amelia and Peter’s family for their warmth and generosity and including us in their special day. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Doltone House for looking after us on the night. A big thank you to Moudanie Studio’s for once again working so well together and celebrating another fantastic wedding.

Congratulations to Polly & Terry – Sat 22nd Nov 2008

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Congratulations to Polly and Terry who were married at Saint Paul Of The Cross, Dulwich Hill on Saturday 22nd November 2008.

It was a beautiful sunny morning as Fivo and I arrived at Terry’s house to find the boys outside admiring the Wedding cars. Shortly after, the boys began to get ready, and we took some candid shots of them helping Terry, before heading outside to shoot some awesome images of Terry riding a motorbike up and down his street. Very Hot!!!
Next it was time to check in on the Bride and see how everything was going at her place. When we arrived, Polly was wearing a stunning headpiece full of diamantes’ as she sat in casual clothes, fixing a broken earring! The Bridesmaids were super organised and were already beautifully dressed. The girls helped Polly into her gorgeous dress and assisted with accessories. Polly looked like a Princess as she finished off getting ready and had time for a few family shots before the cars arrived.

The weather was just starting to change as we arrived at the church. We were all hoping that the rain would hold off and the strong winds would blow the clouds away. The ceremony was just perfect, as Polly and Terry said their vows, family and friends joined in with various readings, which were quite emotional. As the happy couple made their way outside, it was time for a big group shot. Rice was flying through the wind, which was like a cyclone, and the rain was threatening to come down hard.

We decided to head off into the city for the location shoot, first stop, Martin Place. Miraculously the sun broke through and we were able to capture some awesome urban shots at the GPO building, walking through the city, running down George Street and casually sitting in a bar for a well deserved drink. Then we wandered through The Rocks area and shot some elegant images in the Argyle, and in the famous red telephone booth.

It was time to head back to Doltone House at Sylvania for the reception. The bridal party had a fabulous night, enjoying beautiful food and service, and were treated to a Brazilian dance performance- ‘hotbeat productions’. Once the formalities of the night were out of the way the bride and groom relaxed and joined their guests on the dance floor for some partying! It was a magical night to remember.

Thank you to our favourite videographers Helen and Evro from Moudanie Studio’s. It’s always a pleasure working with you guy’s. See you on Sunday for another wedding together. Thank you to Ajay and his team from Doltone House Sylvania, who made the night run smoothly and made us feel very welcome. We will see you on Sunday too!

Congratulations to Karen & James – Sat 25th Oct 2008

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

Congratulations to Karen and James who were married on Saturday 25th October 2008 at Bonnie Doon Golf Club.

It was a beautiful warm Spring morning as Fivo and I arrived at Karen’s house, only to find the girls all relaxed and preparing a light snack. Karen introduced us to their cat, who was certain that the day was all about her, not Karen!

We shot a variety of candid images in and around the house as the girls were getting ready. Then we headed off to Bonnie Doon Golf Club. The golf club had the perfect setting for their ceremony. James and the boys mingled with their friends and family as they waited for Karen to arrive.
Karen walked down the aisle with her nephew to the theme song of James Bond, which was playing in the background. It was a very emotional ceremony as the happy couple said their vows and were officially pronounced husband and wife by marriage celebrant Robert Smith.

It was time for the big group shot out the front of the Golf Club. Karen and James also had photographs with their family and friends before sneaking off for more intimate shots of themselves.
We headed down to Little Bay for further shots along the cliff, with stunning views of the sea in the background. The bridal party were a great bunch and we had a lot of laughs, especially while they reminisced of their time spent in the Navy together.

We returned to the Golf Club and took some great shots of Karen and James in the foyer of the club before the Bridal Party were announced. It was a perfect ending to a magical day.
Many thanks to Jane and the team at Bonnie Doon Golf Club who were exceptional and Alan from Shire Disco’s who was a fabulous MC for the night and also provided a great range of music.  It was lovely meeting Alan and his wife and working with them. We look forward to working with you at other functions.

Congratulations to Josie and Stephen

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

Congratulations to Josie and Stephen, who were married on Saturday 18th October 2008 at All Saints Church, Liverpool.

The day began with Josie greeting Fivo and myself at the front door in her veil and thongs. The house was full of excitement as the family and bridal party prepared to get Josie ready for the church. We headed off to the bedroom where Josie’s dress was featured on a dress maker’s mannequin, which was highlighted by the video that Evro from Moudanie Studio’s was using to film with. Fivo captured the dress beautifully, while I used the 50ml lens to shoot Josie’s bridal accessories.

It was time for Josie to get dressed, so with the help from her five bridesmaids Josie appeared shortly after, looking absolutely stunning. Fivo and I spent time photographing the girls as they were getting ready, and we got some really nice candid shots. Josie then presented each member of her bridal party with their bouquet of flowers. Josie presented her parents with a framed enlargement of herself and Stephen which was taken from the pre wedding shoot. It was a very emotional time for everyone as Josie and her dad shared one last hug before leaving for the church in a hot pink hot rod!

We arrived at the church in time to greet Stephen and the boys and I began taking candid shots of the boys, while Fivo was photographing Josie and the girls as they were arriving. The ceremony was amazing as Josie walked down the aisle to ‘Butterfly Kisses’. Fivo used the 10-22ml lens to capture some awesome shots of the church and bridal party. After the ceremony we all headed outside for a few group shots, and then it was off to Bankstown Sports Club for the location shoot.

After some formal family shots, the bridal party relaxed with a few drinks in ‘La Piazza’. The bridal party were a great bunch to take photos of; and often played up for the camera. The background of the Sports Club, gave the impression that we were in Italy, creating a great variety of images.

(left to right – Fivo, Jacinda, Evro. Stephen, Josie, Helen Don)

The Reception was held at Novella Events. Thank you to John and his team who made the night run smoothly and made us feel very welcome. The D.J, Don Catania, from DC Music was fantastic as well. The night was a great success with formalities out of the way early in the night leaving plenty of time for fun on the dance floor. After throwing the bouquet and garter, Josie requested one last dance with her father before leaving. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful wedding day!

Thanks to our favourite videographers Evro and Helen from Moudanie Studios…..

Congratulations to Tanya and Rodney!!

Saturday, October 11th, 2008

Congratulations to Tanya and Rodney who were married in the beautiful gardens of Vaucluse House on Saturday 11th October 2008.

What a wintery start to the day it was, before it turned into one of the most perfect Spring days in October.

Rodney and the boys were already dressed for the big day when we arrived at Rodney’s parent’s house. The boys were very organized and we got straight into capturing candid and formal images of the groomsmen and family. Helen from Moudanie Studio’s joined us on this shoot and we had a lot of laughs with the boys. Rodney looked very cool while sitting in the front of the red ‘mustang’, which we used in some candid location shots underneath ‘Tom Ugly’s Bridge’. The boys then headed to the marina which had beautiful water views and we took further shots on one of the boats.

We arrived at Tanya’s house to find Tanya and the girls preparing to get dressed, adding the final touches to their hair and makeup.  Evro from Moudanie Studios was already filming as we greeted the excited Bride. Tanya’s dress was beautiful and carried a red theme all the way through, from her lace, to her shoes, flowers, parasol and garter. We took a variety of candid and formal shots with the bridesmaids and family members before leaving for Vaucluse House.

The flowers were in full bloom at Vaucluse House while Carol Marin began the ceremony which was very personal and sincere. As the couple were now officially married, we utilized the gardens for some fun and creative shots, before heading into the rocks for more location opportunities. We snapped away as the sun began to set in the city, capturing some interesting twilight shots, and then it was time to head back to the reception at the ‘Red Room’ in Argyle St.

Tanya and Rodney had put a lot of thought into decorating their reception venue and it looked fabulous. A night of fun and dancing was had by all and the MC Salvatore Coco kept the guests entertained. The DJ, Shimon, from Acts On Show had an amazing collection of vinyl records and did a fantastic job.

Then it was time for the newlyweds to depart in the red mustang, burning down Argyle St and setting off car alarms as they zoomed past! Fivo and I took Tanya and Rodney down to the Overseas Passenger Terminal, where we continued taking night shots with gorgeous views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

We’d like to thank our favourite cinematographers Evro and Helen from  Moudanie Studios , it’s always great working with you both! A special thank you to Peter from Sydney Mustangs for helping with our own transportation on the night!
