We are pleased to be participating in a trivia night fundraiser, raising money for the Mc Grath Foundation, this Saturday 31st July, at Cronulla Leagues Club, organised by Aussie Farmer’s Direct. Fivo will be there to document the night and support this great charity. Can’t wait to see the photos!

It has been an absolute pleasure meeting our new couples and welcoming them to our family. We’ve had a ball capturing gorgeous images of their wedding day, and can’t wait for the pregnancy/baby shoots to start!

Speaking of which,we have some exciting news of our own. Some of you may already know that Fivo and I are expecting our first baby which is due in May.

We are looking forward to another fun filled year, now we have settled into our studio. We’d like to thank all of you for your ongoing support and can’t wait to see where this year will take us…

FIVO Photography was outstanding in the 2009 Canon APPA Awards this year.

We WON a Bronze award for the below image in this year’s Open Wedding Category which is super exciting!!!

Not only that, but we also received truckloads of awesome feedback as our images were critiqued, whilst coming excruciatingly close to winning the Silver with only 2 measly points behind (@&$#!!*$&!)…. 

Overall the experience of entering and winning in this prestigious award as an Accredited AIPP member is pretty cool…

For now all we can say is that we are very excited for our next season of beautiful brides, and can’t wait to see who will be entered in the 2010 Canon APPA Awards.

Fivo awaits anxiously  for this coming weekend, as the judging for the Canon APPA awards takes place at the PMA show in Darling Harbour.

We have entered four of our last season’s favourite images. We wish we could enter more as  there were so many to choose from.

We are hoping to win a silver award in the Open Wedding Category.

Our new brand symbolises an exclusive, European label like brand, making you feel Luxurious, Expensive, Gorgeous and Fashionable.

FIVO Photography is undergoing an exciting transformation. We are tossing our boring & bland name, “FIVO Photography” for a new brand to better align with our fashionable photography style. When you think of us you will think, Luxurious, Feminine, Gorgeous, European & Exclusive, like an expensive label brand that screams only the best will do!

Our new business name is now:  “FIVO PHOTOGRAPHY”

‘FIVO PHOTOGRAPHY’ is unique, European and stylish. The logo is currently being designed and will be feautered on all our up market branding and products, including designer label carry bags, clothing etc… Stay tuned for more!

Tonight Fivo had the privilege of meeting some of the AIPP Masters of Photography, who judge for the APPA (Australian Professional Photography Awards) which is sponsored by Canon.

Tonight was an awesome night because we put up some of our favourite wedding images to be critiqued prior to entering them into the 2009 APPA later in June….

“WOW, I was so over the moon to hear the outstanding compliments after my images were painfully critiqued.” “I say it was painful, because others before me were receiving quite heartbreaking comments and whilst waiting to be critiqued, I was rather nervous”.

To cut a long story short, I was basically advised that I should enter and will have a hot chance of winning the silver ribbon in  the upcoming 2009 Canon Australian Professional Photographer of The Year Awards. We will also be entering the 2009 Epson AIPP NSW Professional Photography Awards.

Both of these award nights are black tie events with the major heads of Canon, Epson and of course the Australian Institute of Professional Photography…

So it will be absolutely awesome to win, and we are happy to advise, we are in extremely good shape!!

Mercury Megaloudis, Australian Master Photographer of the year, held an all day workshop this week which has inspired us with some additional ideas on creating exceptional photography services for all our wonderful clients.

This year has been a successful and extremely rewarding year, particularly with seeing the huge level joy and happiness we have brought to you and your families from our much loved images. No booking is just a job for us as we have honestly enjoyed photographing and creating beautiful photos from every single assignment this year, so thank you again for being a fantastic client and friend. We really couldn’t have had such an enjoyable year without you and now we can’t wait kick off another exhilarating year in 2009.

Also with Fivo recently being awarded with full accreditation with the AIPP (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) being a nationally accredited photographer, we are planning for lots more success in and around the wedding and photography industry in 2009. This now qualifies us as a professional contender to national wedding photographer of the year competitions – so keep an eye out for some exciting stuff…
